It's ridiculous here I just went to get gas and it is a total mob scene everywere. The cashier at the gas station said it's been busier than it is during ski season. Someone posted on FB that they drove around the parking lot of our local supermarket and counted plates from 27 different states.

Yesterday my partner saw a couple with Alberta plates....on their truck with a camper and the trailer that was hauling their boat. There's a longstanding dislike between the provinces and this is partly why. Alberta = our stereotypical Texas.

The grocery stores here either open an hour early or restrict the first hour for seniors (sorrrrrrry but this is where being a geezer is a good thing!). Guess they don’t do that there?

A lot of grocery stores in Seattle have reserved an hour in the morning for seniors.

We went to Costco yesterday. Well, two Costcos. Really different mentality between them, Seattle location was minimal people, 100% mask usage, parking lot half empty, 5 cars getting gas. Southcenter (suburban) was packed with people recreationally shopping, fair number of non-mask wearers or improperly worn masks, whole families in tow, kids running around (no masks), parking lot was packed, 60+ cars waiting for gas.

I didn't even think about that! Yeah I'm sure you guys are WAY healthier than even people younger than you! Makes sense to be apprehensive about it.

I have found that I find a lot less people at Costco if I show up 30 minutes before they close. Way less than when the doors open, I went twice in the morning and went back home because of all the people waiting to go in.
