The Gozney is super portable , I take it in an out on every use, and you can even take it to the park or beach or camping easily.

I just don't want to mess with wood and the ash to clean up, and ash can go into the food, plus I don't need smoke flavour on my food. The key to the wood oven pizzas is the heat generated to cook pizza a certain way very quickly - 90 seconds or so. The wood itself doesnt do much more than that, as long as the heat is there, and the propane versions will generate the heat. A hybrid version can use wood and propane, I have been happy with the propane powered versions.

That looks like a great oven, I have no idea of the price , I like the Nano version they offer, it seems like a nice size. Gozney offers a dome version of outdoor pizza oven which may be around $1,900 , that is pretty good quality, but the Alfas are super nice. I'd love one.
Yeah I think the Alfa's are a well made reputable company as more than one place sold them only.
I lean towards the propane version which does get to the temp just like the wood version ( I've watched a few vids of the BBQ Guy's testing them and some Aussie DUDE nice to have people do that work saves you from making a wrong choice
I will keep ya posted

Sounds about right. It's actually kinda quaint - Mennonite country so you see horses and buggies all over.

Hey Mom, if the Alfa purchase doesn't pan out for you , consider this other oven - Gozney Dome. It is in the same price range as the smaller Alfa but much less than the larger Alfas. They often have sales coming up keep checking for deals. Right now you get a free peel and cover with the oven, they have an optional stand and front door cover, but it would sit nicely on an outdoor counter. I would love one of these if I had the room for it but we have no outdoor patio area , hence the portable one that I use. The Gozney ovens can be bought on-line or you can search for dealers in your region. I wouldn't mind using this oven with wood as it is large enough to clean out and the wood area is easy to access for cleaning, many of the other ovens are harder to clean.

Mom these are how my pizzas turn out, everyone makes them slightly different. There are lots of different recipes. I've tried using 0,0 flour, and regular all purpose flour, I generally let the dough rise 4-6 hours, punched down 1-2 times. I keep my pizzas simple, basic Napoli recipes for margheritas , tomato sauce, buffalo or fior di latte cheese, and topped with basil. Sometimes I will toss some arugula on the pizza after it comes out or parsley (I love parsley) Lots of practice makes perfect.

Hey George… did you see the electrical project I posted above? I suspected you (and perhaps only you! LOL) would appreciate it. Will bump it.
