For the first time I'm aware of, someone blocked me on FB. 
This results in 2 problems:
1) I'm now down from my 500 person friend list. I've been keeping it at 500.... add a new friend, delete someone else.
2) The only outstanding friend request I have is from a coworker. Good guy, but as a rule I don't "friend" immediate coworkers.
I'm probably overthinking this.

Had an interesting conversation last night with a colleague who was at a party and they were talking about when it's appropriate to share news via text vs. facebook vs. telephone vs. any other means. Consensus seems to be that face to face delivery is really not necessary for anything now.
