Well put Couldn't agree more! IMO SO MANY other things in life have changed for the worse since the CELL PHONE became an extension of most's bodies

I recall the REASON I 1st got one…. medical condition I was going thru that made it a helpful tool in an emergency ( long story for when your in front of me ) yes I kept it and have evolved slowly butt just my view of the world & people who can't seem to put the phone down or turn it off ( this olsk00ler just doesn't get it

I would propose a TURN OFF YOUR PHONE DAY butt doubt we'd get any takers

Even myself leaving the house one day forgetting it on the counter felt kinda unconnected to my KIDS ( the true reason I have mine on ) its like that cord I say never breaks completely ( with mom's )

you sparked yet another ya LG

Lately I've become a lot more assertive if someone is on their phone while I'm talking to them and will let them know I'll wait until they're done. You can't have a meaningful relationship with someone who isn't present. I don't love how necessary cell phones have become. I accept it, but try to mitigate the negative stuff that can come from them.

I completely agree with this article! I see many RIP posts and I do wonder if the family is ok with it, or even know if it's on social media already. The death of a family member isn't fast or entertaining news that needs to be shared ASAP... it's something that should be taken slowly and processed.
