During WWII, the Germans waterproofed 200 Panzer tanks with sealing tape and tried to drive them under the sea to attack England.
FACT or CRAP ?
FACT! Tanks love to swim! And the guys driving them love being underwater in a rolling coffin!
Spoiler
If I get this one right, I'm done. Semantics and whatnot, but this was part of a planned invasion, except wading tanks were never actually used. So the first half is factual (it was more than 200, but whatever), but the second half is not.
I'm going with sort of fact based on El Jefe's answer. I think that they probably developed something like that but I think that the number of tanks produced might be the trick part of the question.
