for better or for worse, closure is a good way of closing the book on one chapter of your life, and giving you the ability to write a whole new chapter.

but..she's got some weird thing going where one minor thing totally sends her off running..
last week was some guy that mentioned that he's worn thong underwear before (which i guess i could understand...)
then, one guy had some weird cd collection
etc....
anyway, i'm waiting for my friends to play to wingman for me one day... too bad that chance never rolls around

I never pretended I was interested. Like i put in my last post, I had a date planned for the night first, but I came thru for my friend instead.....I had fun with the kid and all, but never pretended like I wanted something more that friendly conversation and drinking. If anything, the only person who wouldve gotten my interest wouldve been my original date

hahahaha..did the guy know that you were playing wingman? I think for me, the girl knew I was playing wingman..and, I think she knew she was playing wing..uh.. wing-woman? I think that as long as you don't mislead them, it's ok.. Just show some interest, and keep up the dialogue... If it's getting dull, then start listening to the conversation at the table next to you, and use that in your own table conversation. If that doesn't work.... text message your friend and tell him to start ordering double drinks and get moving because you're falling asleep. (ok, it didn't get that bad...)

I had met him about a month ago at the same bar.....hes a cool guy and I also chatted it up with his older brother, who was there with us too. I think he knew the situation...but we were having a good time so it was fine

if you can actually enjoy the person and the conversation is at least tolerable, then it really isn't that bad... i've met some pretty nice people that way. of course, they knew the situation from the get-go so there was no expectation or any confusion.
i just like going out... date/no date, wingman, whatever...
