We split a full rack of Memphis style baby back ribs, beans, and onion rings. The meat came right off the ribs. We didn't even have to pick up the bones. It was wonderful!

I think my memory is failing me. I called my mother and she seems to think they were peanut shells on the floor and that it was the Northwoods Inn. Mind you this was in the 1970's.
Clearman's Northwoods Inn has locations in San Gabriel, Covina, and La Mirada. I've eaten at the one in San Gabriel on Rosemead Boulevard, just south of Pasadena, several times. I thing that's the one you're referring to.

BTW, we recently had lunch with Mom and Skip at the Elephant Bar next door to the Northwoods Inn in La Mirada.

For a chain, it's alright.

I had Chinese from the cafeteria. . . which isn't horrible.

Nice thing was, I've been saving some $$$.
