Question Zoe....(No haiku)
Is that an IATSE contract for the stunt work at T.I.? Are you considered a "stuntman" of just a performer under the contract?
Also, how many guys employed for each show...? Same guys or a different "cast" each performance?
Just curious....

We were non-union.
We used sixteen guys per show.
Show has been cancelled.
We used to use about 20 guys per show until the MGM bought us out in 2000. They cut the budget and the numbers were dropped. We had a total cast of about 28 full-time and 6-7 on-call cast members. Technically we were considered stuntmen, but we were called everything from cast, stuntmen, actors and most commonly, pirates. We each worked 40 hours a week in the summer, and about 35 hours per week in the winter. After 9/11 (after I had left), they dropped the 4PM show alltogether and the cast took the biggest hit. The hotel was always good to the technicians on the show (which is where I started), but treated the cast like children. Having worked both sides, I can definitely say that the tech's were OVERPAID and under worked, while the cast was overworked and underpaid. Kinda the reason I left. Now the show is closing and they're designing a new show to open in October for the hotel's 10th anniversary. They're keeping all of the techs and about 5 of the cast members. The rest will get the boot, and pretty much deserve to IMO.
