BTW, I saw something a couple weeks ago which officially persuaded me that the Mini Cooper convertible is untenable as a real car.

Apparently you can open the first "flap" of the roof, and roll down the rear quarter windows without putting the top down. Picture: Cooper convertible, first flap flipped up, rear windows down but front windows up. Huge fat woman in passenger seat. Brant, this is your future if you buy a cooper convertible.
