Mine is just over 2100 now!

I put nearly 700 miles on her over this past weekend - trip to the track, then a big meet and canyon run ... then 70 miles to our headquarters office on Monday.

Lovin' every mile!! And custom-fitting Wicked's driver's seat to my butt ...

Led, for what it's worth, we had our little red S which we bought with 3k miles on it (MY'00), and for $24k, I would go for it (does it still have a bit of original warranty?). You can get a full 7 year, 100k mile ext. HondaCare warranty from someone on the board (I can check the name if you want) for $1100, less for fewer years or miles.

The '02 is definitely smoother overall (finishes, etc.), but the '00 feels more "pure" - and if I didn't know I was going to be putting tons of miles on the car, and needing the glass window for the daily up & down, I would have just kept our red one, but it has 19k miles on it now. I think in spite of problems some have had, the car is really solid. There is something kind of special about the MY'00 IMHO.

I have a 2000 and never had the oxygen sensor issue, but I've been in for tons of other warranty stuff. I agree with Kathy...the '00 does feel more pure to me and I'm glad I have the older model.

I've got the MY 2000 with 8,100 miles and no problems. Took delivery in Oct 1999. I still haven't gotten the recalls done but hope to get in for the spark plug one done soon. My car has been hibernating all winter and was out for the first time last weekend.

None. I just set the speedo back to 0 with a reverse drill after lunch today.

I'm at 2250 now. I'm going to have more miles in 2 months than all the weekend/summer drivers combined get in 2 years ...

Kathy and Luke-

What do you mean by "The 2000 feels more pure?" Please explain.

It's kind of hard to describe unless you drive an '02/'03 after an '00/'01. The minute I got in the '02, I felt like Honda had "finessed" it - the silvery finishes, the floor mat anchors don't require a big cut in the carpet, the covered center console, etc. The shifting is a bit smoother, stereo is nicer, tweeters, etc.

The MY2000 is solid black inside (in my case), and just feels like it hasn't been "dressed up" so much. Not like there's a huge difference, only s2000 freaks would probably even notice.

Performance, handling, acceleration, driving - all that still feels the same. I've heard the '02 has improvements in the tranny and suspension, but I'm not really able to feel that (except for the aforementioned smoother shifting).
