I don't know about that, red. I ticked off 7000 miles last summer.

:glad Neb is back on the road!:

The minute I got in the '02, I felt like Honda had "finessed" it - the silvery finishes, the floor mat anchors don't require a big cut in the carpet, the covered center console, etc. The shifting is a bit smoother, stereo is nicer, tweeters, etc.

The MY2000 is solid black inside (in my case), and just feels like it hasn't been "dressed up" so much. Not like there's a huge difference, only s2000 freaks would probably even notice.

Performance, handling, acceleration, driving - all that still feels the same. I've heard the '02 has improvements in the tranny and suspension, but I'm not really able to feel that (except for the aforementioned smoother shifting).

Here's something very interesting... I was talking with an enthusiast friend of mine from Dublin, and he pointed me toward this article: Suspension Changes in '02

I wasn't aware of this stuff (see the penultimate paragraph). Were you guys? Did these suspension changes take affect worldwide, or only in Ireland?

Anyway, I was thinking that maybe this stuff, if legit (seems that way), could be responsible for the cars feeling different. What'd'ya think?

Interesting, isn't it, red.

I haven't heard/seen anything about this in the other fora on the board, but I joined sometime after this was reported.

Is it legit??

hmmm...found an '01 black/black with 18k on the odo for $24,900...still under warranty...hmmm....road trip!
Hey Jimmy, is this the one I PM'd you about? If so, let me know when you're gonna look at it. It's right around my neck of the woods. Hell, I'll even give it a prelim-once over for ya'... if you ask me nicely enough!**

** the aforementioned 'nicely enough' translates to a refined purchase of ice-cold Yeunling for the instrument completing the preliminary once-over.
