I don't get it...
For some strange reason, flights that begin and terminate in less mainstream locations can often be cheaper. I think it might have something to do with incentives to get people to fly on lesser used routes or something...?
I think you are right Barney, I also think it has something to do with business use. The more mainstream routes get more business use, therefore the demand is higher, therefore they can charge higher prices .....
Yeah, airline prices can be pretty scary,
After September 11, 2001, I was getting roundtrip non-stop flights from Baltimore to Vegas for around $160. I remember flying out to see my wife about once every three weeks. I started flying on America West when the prices started going up because they had cheap first class upgrades. Now I'm spoiled and I damn near throw a tantrum if I can't get an upgrade! Plus, the nearest major airport is in Norfolk (50 miles) but the nearest America West airport is Raleigh (180 miles). I don't mind driving to Raleigh to fly America West, but the 3 hour drive when I get back is always a drag.
Screw it, I'm gonna buy my own plane. I think I can get an employee discount or something...

B-2 is Northrop Grumman...
which in 1997 we almost merged with, but the government refused to sanction the merger (mainly due to the fact that our company would now have the corner on every stealth aircraft in the United States Armed Forces inventory... or at least the ones the public has any knowledge of)
