You have to love an industry that gets away with tiered pricing to the same level of customer

I would love to arbitrarily tell the next customer in my store..oh you have to pay more than the previous person for the same exact transaction

Surely you could though ..... you could have a sliding scale depending on the amount of stock you have ..... You have a book that retails for $10, if you only have 3 left, charge $12, two left, charge $15 and one left $20 ...... supply and demand, that is the cornerstone of the free market !!
