16 bmw 320i x-drive.

We’ve been looking for a while. She wanted a Mini Clubman but when we test drove them we weren’t as impressed as we’d hoped.

My parents bought us kids our first cars, granted they were cheaper to buy 30 years ago. Up here in MI anything less than $10k is a rust bucket, or simply unsafe IMO as we do not have annual inspections for road-worthiness. Our eldest pays for her own way for insurance, gas, etc and the youngest also contributes as well. There are fairly strict guidelines for them to follow as well. She has to keep her grades up, phone goes in backseat, and has to take care of it. They're both really good kids so I'm not too concerned.

Sadly the youngest who had put some decent $ into his choice and got a nice Integra was away at College in Seattle bout 1/ 2 hour from where we lived. One morning I get a call from some DUDE saying he's a and that our car had been stolen.
I was sceptic that he really WAS a he says " go look on the driveway & see if your car is there " I didn't wanna give him any info so told him to call back.
I call my he looks down from the dorm window and says $hIET
C-6 drove to where they had towed it and yeah basically stripped poor kid

Integra's were theft magnets back in the day. I had a 98 way back when, not a bad car.
