Not to get too political and get into the whole Dems vs. Repubs argument again-but wasn't it during the Clinton Admin that Sect Albright went over to NK, meet with Kim Jung Il, and gave NK either access to technical data and/or the actual componets for the nukes in exchange for a "promise" by KJI that he wouldn't use that in making nukes, but only for peaceful purposes?
Once Sect Albright left, KJI basicially tore up that agreement and continued to develop the nuclear weapons.
If I'm wrong, I'll admit it, but I think I am correct for the most part.

I don't think "hated" is a good word. I don't think either should necessarily be hated. That said, I think that both are dangerous in their own ways.

why must we hate the country? It's the government that you should not like. The majority of the populace have nothing to do with their country's policies. Having grown up in a communist country, I will bet you money that most North Koreans hate their leader.

oh, and having several Iranian friends/colleagues, I know that the current government is not well-liked either except for some religious fanatics.
