UPDATE ON THE LOANER CAR:

My car was not ready as expected on Thurs. Nor was it ready Friday. Note the lack of surprised expression on my face.
:face devoid of surprise:

Anyway I went to the dealership anyway and said, "take this POS Discovery off my hands!". They said the only thing they had was a Miata Protoge. I said fine.

I drove off leaving some very puzzled looks. "Why would you want to exchange a Discovery for a *Protoge*?!". I told them I had never been privileged to drive such a poor handling, uncomfortable POS... and I've driven a Fiat Punto so that's saying a lot.

John,

I am proud of you!

Did you get the Protege5, or maybe even the MP3 coupe?? I think Mazda actually did a commendable job on these cars. A basic protege probably won't be too exciting. Better than a land yacht tho', eh?

I guess I'd take a Land Rover over a PGGM.

Maybe I'd just let my wife drive!

It's just the basic LX. Still not as bad as the Land Yacht.

Not posting from work. Had an excellent weekend and just got home from dinner at the pub. Mmmmm. Fish and chips.

You know what's wrong with "Gattaca"? You can't have the string in genetics.

"You can't have the string in genetics," John?? Huh?

BTW, I have this movie on tape and watch it a lot. I think it's great.
