I'm not good at things with my left hand. I would be in trouble.

I found that once on a motorway with no divide strip I did a little drift. Not so anyone would notice but *I* noticed and it scared me a bit.

Shifting was fun with the left hand... it felt like someone else was doing it.

I found reversing was awkward at first.

Probably because I kept looking over my left shoulder and hitting my head on the window.

The other thing that initially scared the out of me was electric seatbelts.
It gave me a heart attack the first few times I jumped into the car and the seatbelt started attacking me.

My Integra had those. They don't use them here anymore. I think they were too dangerous.

OMG, I'd almost completely blocked my memory of the electric seatbelt fiasco of the mid '80s... Talk about regulation gone bad!!!

More than once I had one of those frikkin' things drag the belt across my neck. Unbelievable that the engineers in those days let cars out the door like that. I would've left the industry, if it'd been me.

How about using the rear view mirror?

I always do a head check.

I never fully trust the mirrors so I always take a quick glance over my shoulder to check the blind spots.

John, I think there's a self-flagellation theme running through Peter's life. What'd'ya think?
