I never even thought about it ....

It is just so natural for me to be getting in the right side of the car

Do you use metric or imperial James?

Going from kph to mph was no problem but, outside of the building industry, I hate using imperial.

Right! That was a riot. My wife and I would head to the car, go to the door, laugh and change sides. You'd think it would get old after a week but NOOOOO.

While I was in the UK everything was imperial, except at work (since I am in the building industry) which was all metric.

Now that I have been away for a few years, everything is metric. I guess it has some benefits. I worked out that recently I have been getting about 8km per litre whilst racing around Tokyo .... then I realised that this meant nothing at all to me !!!

I only understand miles per gallon (UK not US gallon at that !! ).

I still think of speed in terms of mph as well ..... when my wife says that I am driving fast I will just say "120 kmh is only 75 mph .... that is NOT fast "!!!!!

Which raises the question... How tall are you?

In my experience only Europeans (and not from the UK) express this answer in Metric.

6'2"

Most people here however use metric but after living in the US I prefer to use imperial for height and pounds instead of kilo's for a persons weight.

I'm completely mixed up.

I am 5'13"

I also prefer pounds for weight, since you are less than twice as heavy that way

LMAO

That reminds me of the Monty Python skit where they try and see who's the tallest by jumping on each others shoulders.
