I have to admit that once I got used to it I preferred driving left hand drive vehicles.

Although I had few nervous moments.

I would expect most righties to be more comfortable (in general) with left-hand drive -- the shifter in your right hand is where god intended it to be. However, in the English colonies (i.e., driving on the left side of the road), right-hand drive does make more sense.

OMG.. here we go again wit the stories about how we ended up on this side of the road.

I had a blast learning to drive on the left this past May.

I drove through Europe a few years back and only had one "Pampers Moment" which was when I managed to pull onto the wrong side of a dual carriageway at the traffic lights

I had to go about 200 yards on the wrong side of the road to be able to get back on the correct side

Didn't drive on the 'wrong' side. Just had some anxiety over driving on the 'right' side for a while. In 3-4 hours though I was overtaking coaches.

My problem came after a 3 hour run down the motorway ....... when you are on normal roads, it is usually quite obvious and easy to stay on the correct side..... it is when you are coming off motorways and things like that where you forget that you are driving on the "other side" that you have problems, I have found.
