I would expect most righties to be more comfortable (in general) with left-hand drive -- the shifter in your right hand is where god intended it to be.
However, in the English colonies (i.e., driving on the left side of the road), right-hand drive does make more sense.

I drove through Europe a few years back and only had one "Pampers Moment" which was when I managed to pull onto the wrong side of a dual carriageway at the traffic lights

My problem came after a 3 hour run down the motorway ....... when you are on normal roads, it is usually quite obvious and easy to stay on the correct side..... it is when you are coming off motorways and things like that where you forget that you are driving on the "other side" that you have problems, I have found.
