I did the calcs and a company lease worked for me when I got my S in 12/99. It wouldn't work now.

People always talk about how you can't mod the car, you don't own it, gotta watch the miles, blah, blah, blah.

I am leasing with the full intention of paying off the residiual at the end. This way I get a payment that is about $200/month less than a straight purchase. I get a decent anual bonus, which would not help me with the monthlies, but if I save them for the next 5 years I can pay off the car when it comes due. Then I can drive as many miles as I want, I can make any mods I want, and in the end I WILL own it. I ran the numbers and in the end my lease is basically the same as a loan with a 4% interest rate.

When the lease is up, I could sell the car to someone else if I don't have the cash, and don't want to have to worry about my mods or miles.

(Of course the S is a second car for me and summer only so miles is not an issue at all.)

You can do what ever the hell you want with a leased car. You don't have to turn the car in, you can sell it any time of the day, when you own a lease car. You can turbo a lease car...who cares...just sell it when you are done with it....that is one of the options with a lease....

0 down
360$ a month for 36 months...

Residuals for the S are pretty good.
and most companies will negotiate the lease end value of a vehicle at the end of the lease.
