had kobe beef at a dinner i was treated to in LA during a tennis tournament last november.
it was very very good.
funny thing is, i've never actually had kobe beef in japan.

had sushi in japan tons of times.. it'll set you back mad $$ when you eat in japan.

Yeah, when I was in Japan, the Kobe beef was definitely prohibitive. We did quite a bit of sushi though.

Where do your relatives live, Motoo? I've been to the Kobe area, and I spent two weeks in Shikoku. I never made it to the Tokyo area, though, believe it or not.

Since I've had my S, I've always wanted to go over there to see the Takanezawa factory.

Aunt/Uncle live in Kobe
Grandma lives in Tokyo
basically, my mom's side is in the Osaka area... my dad's side is in the Tokyo area. Most of my friends are in Tokyo though..
i'd love to see the factory as well

actually, my first goal is to visit Suzuka circuit

Cool. By the time you get there, who knows, Honda may already be making S2000s in Suzuka (I think that's where they're moving it).

it's actually got an amusement park there..
what i really want to see though is the F1 race...

I know that Kobe beef was was some serious $$$, so we usually ate at Volks steakhouse in Tokyo (Akasaka Mitsuke). The Trader Vic's in the New Otani was another fav.

wow..you guys seem to know a lot about japan..

i usually got tossed around with my friends at some funky restaurant in the back alleyway of some overpopulated city.

food was always good though

only with relatives did i eat at nice restaurants.
