Well, my hero is Jimmy Buffett, but that is as much for his storytelling as his music. I like that he lives the stories he tells and that when I listen to his lyrics I can be taken so far away from my life and this world that all the things that trouble me or frustrate me simply don't exist until I come back from that journey.

However, my musical tastes are very diverse and I like classical, jazz, the blues, some country, a little rap/r&b and can even sit back and groove to something as obscure as the bagpipes or fife and drums...

Currently I have been grooving to Lifehouse and John Mayer quite a bit and a little Rascal Flatts just to balance things out...

John Mayer lyrics:

"....4 more exits to my apartment....but I am tempted to leave my car in drive...and leave it all behind..."

When you commute 200 miles a day that song seems awfully tempting...

"...I am driving....eighty-five in...the kind of morning that lasts all afternoon..."

Great mental picture for me.

Lets see, how do I answer that one???? I took a nose dive this weekend on a drive. If ya ever want to feel better go look. It is on the Mid Atlantic board "Chix Rule looks good in the mud" Yikes, what a mess It looks worse than it really is. Other than that I had a wonderfull weekend.
John Mayer and Nora Jones are mesmorizing to me. Their voice and their words put me in a place that is sort of like "makebelieve"

I've got Norah Jones in my Grand Cherokee because it sounds so good on the stereo in that car that anyone that turns it on will fall in love with the sound and that can't hurt the possibility of them buying the truck from me...

Sorry to hear about the nosedive. I'll go check it out before I run off on an errand.

I've got Buffett in the CD player in my Miata right now. Was listening to his rendition of Brown Eyed Girl on my way home from Microsoft campus a little earlier this morning...

Your not ghetto,

I have all of Brian Mcknight's CD's. There is something so enchanting about his voice, it makes my hair on my arms stand on end.

mmmmm Nora, an absolutely beautiful voice, "mesmorizing" is definately a good adjective for her, good call! She is absolutely beautiful to boot, but with that voice you do not even have to look at her to fall in love. I am a huge sucker for a beautiful voice.
