I am lucky enough to have a very good relationship with my father ..... I am very pleased that this is the way ..... my sister is getting married in August, and her and my brother don't speak ... she has invited the whole family to the wedding apart from him ... I think that this sort of behaviour, coming from someone who is almost 40 sucks so bad .... but I don't want to get involved between them, because it makes life so difficult for my parents already when two of their kids (well grown up kids) can't be in the same room together

 

Not just teenagers. I'm 31 and, on occasion, I'm still more of a jerk to my parents than they deserve. However, just about as often they are the ones stepping out of line, so it balances out.

All that matters to me is that I now have the time to spend with them and, unlike when I was growing up, I WANT to spend it with them.

Probably explains why I've made the 2 hour round trip to their house about 3 times in the last week...and going back again on Friday for dad's b-day!

 

but see i work alot of hours also..... 9-9 alot...so its understandable... being devils advocate here
