Sorry I'm late, Sophia. Just now saw your thread.

But I kinda know what you're talking about. I had my wisdom teeth pulled about 2 weeks ago, and lemme tell you, the post-op was HORRIBLE. I was spitting out blood every 30min, for 2 days. It was HORRIBLE. HORRIBLE.

I didn't eat for 2 days. And I usually eat every 2-3 hours...

BTW, how did your finals go! Good, I'm sure. You put in a lot of hours during final week!

Sorry to hear about your pain hun

i had all 4 removed a few years back.....before you can get meds, I'd take some advil (it will reduce any swelling) and the anbesol stuff

but get them pulled if there is no room for them in your mouth...the operation is harder if they are already poking through the skin.

If they're all out, then it's just like regular teeth pulling.

Mine was actual surgery (my orthodontist caught them pushing out before they broke through the gums). They gas you, cut your gums, then pull the teeth, then stitch the gums with dissolvable stitches... Pain free (since you're out of it). I lived off of soup and ice cream for 2-3 days, though the afternoon immediately afterwards I was in the same boat as alex - spitting up blood and whatnot (didn't help that I was still half out of it from the anesthesia). I also said some pretty weird stuff to my mom (note: have a trusted friend take you to the oral surgeon!).
