Remember when... (cue the lame, nostalgic music please...)
the first home computer we had was a mac512k. my dad went all out and got the external floppy and the external 30MB SCSI drive. a couple years later he started bringing home surplus 8088s and then 8086s from work. once we got to 386s we used lantastic to network our house with coax so i could keep all my pirated games on harddrives. then when we got a copy of win3.11 we could all play hearts against each other, and my mom no longer had to yell across 2 floors of the house to ask me to do something
UnaB, that's hysterical!!! You guys were real pioneers wiring your house with coax for a 386-based PC network! I'll bet it was that really STIFF coax too with those horrible original slide-lock connectors that snapped off so easily... right??
