James' version of this would involve a moped driver with girlfriend hugging his waist gunning the putt-putt engine at the light. The ending of the story would change to some very sooty panties being given up by the smoked couple! 
I agree with Jack... The original story is sad on many levels. A million dollars for a night with your gf/wife.... That I could maybe see... Trading her up for a drag race -- yup, sad!

I guess you guys are right, I didn't really consider the "sadness" factor, but yes, it is sad on numerous levels !!!!!
