Selling My S? .....maybe........
Well, I figured you guys are a good test bed for advice so here it goes..
1. I have 80k miles on my car and not looking like my 30k miles a year on a car is slowing down any.... that means.. roughly 3 sets of rear tires a year.
2. I want to pay off other things because I want to get a beater. My S isn't so much too much money for me as is my other debt added onto my S right now, and the only way to make a dent in either one is to sell one or the other.. and considering I can't sell credit cards.. the car might be my only choice.
3. Beater.... if I sold the S I was going to buy an Integra to drive daily for the next year while I punch a hole in my debt. Then... I'll basically have little to no car payment to deal with.
4. Beater + Brand new 05. My plan is to spend basically the next year trying to knock out this debt enough for me to buy a brand new 05 and just let it marinate in the garage while I continue to drive the Teg, this way I end up with a brand new S, low miles, a beater, and less debt.
5. No S for a year..... in theory.... my plan looks good on paper, but I'm not sure I can go through with it or not, I should get a raise within this time period and am looking at more freelance work opportunities or etc to help out with income.
Just throwing this idea around in my head....

1) I do about 30,000 miles a year, too. Over half go on my shitbox.
2) Same boat. Student loans and accumulated bills from moving around a lot, along with not making as much $ as I expected when I moved here.
3) It's nice to have the S for those sunny, 80
