Well I'm still licking my wounds after yesterday's humiliation of the Leafs.

It started out to be a pretty good contest but then got to be a groaner. After it was 3-1 my wife asked the score (from upstairs). I would give her reports, jokingly telling her it was 3-1, then 4-1 then a minute later 8-1 and 12-1... I was friggin joking but the Leafs nearly made it a reality.

Man... 7-2. That sucks.

Still... fingers crossed... they aren't out.

Know what?... I hated seeing him score but the Handzus goal... second in the game... one of the prettiest goals I've seen in a LONG time. Two drop passes and a snap shot. Excellent.

It's almost midnight, 6th game, start of the 3rd period and Flames zippo and the Wings zippo. Great series. I love hockey. The Flames have risen to the occassion; the Wings, in spite of all their injuries, just need to suck it up, hold their ground in the 3rd and pull one out, so we can bring it home. GO WINGS! Hopen to see the Irish jig.

Hats off to the Flames defense, they shut down our two best young players.

I'm excited about tonight... I don't want it to end. We HAVE to have a game 7.

:pleads and implores the hockey gods for game seven:

I wish I'd seen the game but we had visitors last night so I missed the game but saw the flash to the OT goal.

To DLQ04... sorry my friend. That had to be a heartbreaker. That would have been another one to be great going into game 7.

I love this time of year.

jeedwards, thanks for the kind words.

It's never pretty when a dynasty dies, and despite an admirable final effort by the battered Wings, this one expired partly from exhaustion, partly from attrition. We can question their age. And with age, we can question their health. By the end, the Wings were wounded. Steve Yzerman was out with a fractured eye socket, Chelios was out with a partially torn rotator cuff in his shoulder, Brett Hull played with a broken toe and Robert Lang played with a broken hand. Curtis Joseph was spectacular, keeping the Wings in the game but too many stars had zeroes on their goal ledgers. One has to wonder, where does this team go from here?

I'll be rooting for our neighbors. Good luck.

Been gone for a few days, net problems.. Damn, that Philly game was reminiscent of last year's game 7 loss against the Flyers.. They might have our number like we have the Sens number. Hoping for a game 7, is Nolan gonna be back? McCabe had a horrible game, hope he bounces back and has a stellar game 6.

Hey that's the same as the Leafs on Sunday... "Net problems".

Don't know about Nolan...

Nolan is "Cleared to begin intensive rehab. Skating in full equipment." according to the Leafs' site. Anything could happen.

Klee is out.
