I'm thinking about picking up a 1990 3series.

I'm curious to hear what you end up with. Not sure what try something different means. SUV?
I'm not at all interested in something bigger/taller and will likely stay in the sporty category. Actually, I can't even decide if I want to buy new or not. Suzy may just turn into a DD, at least for awhile.

I'm noting that at some point I need to assemble a list of cars I want to (eventually) own and start working on that. My ideal replacement for the S2000 if/when I ever get rid of it is decidedly NOT daily driveable, so I'll need a second car before then. Focus RS is tempting, as is the new Mustang... maybe an S5.

I'm adding that if Mazda ever figures out their diesel issues in the 6, and brings a 6 wagon diesel stateside, I'm all in.

I'm highly recommending the S5 So in love with this car. Come for a visit and drive it!

I'm of the mindset that I will not get a S4/S5 in the near future after watching my friends S4 sit in the shop most of 2014. That happens to be 3 Audis I've seen suck it in the past year. I hope you got a good one Lesley. They seem like great cars.

I'm yet to find a car I'd get rid of my current s2000 for. I might know of one car I would, but it's several years away from production (if they ever make it)

And on that note,

I'm getting lodging rates for a weekend in Vail next month

I'm thinking that interior is stellar. I'd love this car but not with that kind of mileage. MAF sensors are expensive and don't last that long

I'm seconding this. Modern Audis remind me of 90s Chrysler products - either they were solid or a total lemon, with no in between.

That said, I'd still consider taking my chances...
