I'm annoyed with amazon's exceptionally terrible service and looking at other options for future purchases.

I'm wondering what happened? Amazon has almost always gone above and beyond to make things right.

I'm inclined to agree but this has been ridiculous. I put in a fairly large (several hundred dollars) order for work and didn't realize until I got the shipping notification that the items were coming from the US. I emailed them asking them to consider changing the layout of the site so it's easier to tell with third party sellers which country items are shipping from. I explained the items are for a non-profit and I didn't budget for duty. The response was to explain third party seller procedures/policies and to say they emailed the seller to ask how much duty I would be paying. I responded saying I'm familiar with the procedures, and don't want a reply, but that I'm asking for specific changes to their website in terms of clearly giving info. And yet I got a long winded response about procedures related to third party sellers.

Even more infuriating was that both email responses started with the canned "I understand your concern..." Um, no you don't because you answered questions I didn't ask and you didn't address my concern.
