I'm contemplating purchasing a road bike soon-ish.
I'm asking here, too...

What are your goals for riding? What're you looking for? Price range? I'm intrigued...

I'm looking at getting a garage sale special once my work location is confirmed. Not gonna waste $ on a bike when I can spend that on travel.

I'm riding a road bike (Felt F95) and I really am impressed with it... I wanted something reliable and I have a bike shop nearby that will take care of me...

Even this past weekend, I didn't feel very comfortable in the stop-and-go environment of the 5 Boro Tour on clipless pedals... I emailed them and they had me come out there with the bike and swaped me out with some basic pedals... then did some minor adjustments to the bars and the brakes and i was on my way..

Today, I went back to the store and they swapped out the pedals, they adjusted my handlebars slightly to better my riding position and cleaned the bike up a bit for me..

Cost.. $0..
I'm actually enrolled in their maintenance class as well....which also happens to be free.

I'm already looking at signing up for 2011 for a Washington DC tour on bike. 2012 will most likely be Montreal.

I'm shopping for a new seat, too. I'm rather impressed with the Specialized seats these days...
I'm going to look at some options as well... One thing I did realize this past weekend was the need for gloves... I have bruises on both palms...
