I'm wondering what pedals you use? Also, are these rides actually RIDES, or are they RACES? The DC one sounds good. I stumbled across an article in some cycling magazine about rides in DC...gonna have to check them out once I shake a job loose back there!

Pretty pic...MUCH nicer weather than I had on my ride...

My typical ride day...20 miles or so to the lunch stop...have a beer...20 miles or so back to the finish of the ride...

It's a tour.. not a race... we had a mixed group of people that came with us so we did the ride from a site seeing standpoint, and not a haul-ass standpoint.. I will admit that I took off the last 5 miles and finished about 10 minutes ahead of my one buddy, but it wasn't necessarily ... I just did it because I wanted to see if I could push the final 5 miles..

Pedals? I'm running these.. they gave them to me when I bought the bike..

and btw.. on bike tours, they have $2 draft specials

I'm a fan of a tour. I'm not competitive enough for a race. I prefer a leisurely 14-16mph pace...I'm too lazy to push beyond that.

SPDs are solid. I chose the Speedplay's because of the "free float" which is much easier on my knees...

I'm going to attempt to get a set of virtual interfaces up, and see if LACP will cooperate with them correctly.
