I'm not. It's saddening how nasty some women can be towards each other, especially when some are very skilled at being vicious in a subtle way.

 

I'm passive agressive...mostly...

I'm noting it's sometimes worse when your field is female-dominated.

 

I'm reminded of when I was in college and Human Resources was a new major. Prior to that, it was the part of the company where secretaries (mostly female) were "dumped" because they really couldn't be promoted from secretary to management.

I know...I know...that sounds hugely sexist...but it's the one thing that pops into my mind when people talk about female dominated fields.

Regardless of the struggles that you two have in female-dominated fields, I'm glad that your only options are secretarial or HR.

That all said, the pissing matches that occur in male-dominated fields aren't much better.

The summary (because I know many people in the Corner can't read all that well) is that human nature focuses on the individual benefits while society thrives on teamwork.

Tough to reconcile the two sometimes...
