The concept just doesn't work for me in a car. You want your music (sound-stage) in front of you, NOT just more volume coming from behind. It screws with your perception of 2 channel stereo. Unless you are going for a movie-type 5.1 sound. IMO you are better of spending that extra money on better separates for the front.
Separate tweeters and mids in the door, and a nice sub in the trunk is all you need in our cars for great sound. That and gobs of power.
Of course YKMMV and that is all IMO. I know lots of people have rear speakers and are happy with them.

Speakers in front/beside you. S2000 doesn't offer much of a sound stage but putting speakers immediately behind your head is bad.

I just can't rationalize ever buying a CD again. At least not until the RIAA is no longer part of the process.

I will be using iTMS to buy my music much more! At least I get to use my music how I see fit (yes, limited to 5 machines I know!)

I think I averaged about 75 CDs a year before the RIAA began its crusade against digital music (beginning with suing Napster).

Talk about ass-backward compatibility Bean
