Use a heavy gauge wire on them match impedance to the amp and all will be well.

pas2knut (jim), suggested a website a while back and i picked up a ton of speaker wire.... probably would do a lot better in the car though

I'm not sure I agree with the 2 ohm theory... but regardless, the rockford amp is still the better choice.
