Semi Official "Today I Learned" thread
Well, if it makes you feel better.... I tried to learn to rollerblade the 2nd day of freshman orientation. Lasted about 20 minutes before wiping out in front of ~100 fellow freshman. Broke my finger and had to have this retarded splint on for the first 2 weeks of school. Wiped out my Junior year going down the big hill in front of my dorm, had some nice road rash and left a trail of blood through the hall (which I had to charge myself to clean up
). Couple other minor incidents, too. One involving a small rodent.

Make sure one of those days in Maui is spent driving the Road to Hana and rent a drop-top if you can. I've been to Maui 5 times and driven the Road to Hana 4 of those times (twice with a Jeep Wrangler (one of them a 5-speed
) once with a Chrysler LHS (when my parents came with me) and once with a PT Cruiser.) Where are you staying? I personally love and recommend Lahaina . If you get a chance, take a helicopter ride on the Big Island. Sorry to rant, but I can't even begin to explain how much I love Hawaii. I lived on Oahu for 4 years and miss it.

I have spent soo much time in Ohau that I could be a tour guide. Also been to Maui and Kuai.
Don't forget that one section of the road to Hana is off-limits to rental vehicles. OR they wont' cover it if something happens. Definitely drive up the Mountain though .... that is awesome to see!
