Song of the day for Mom.
Way, way, way back (but still rock and roll -- and a GREAT song). Earl Grant.
At the end af the rainbow
I'll find my pot of gold.
At the end of the river
the water stops its flow.
So just tell me you love me
and you'll be mine
and the world will go on
til the end of time.
At the end of the rainbow
I'll find my pot of gold.
At the end of the highway
there's no place else to go.
So just tell me youn love me
and you'll be mine
and the world will go on
til the end of time.
At the end af the rainbow
I'll find my pot of gold.
At the end of the river
the water stops its flow.
So just tell me you love me
and you'll be mine
and the world will go on
til the end of time.
At the end of the rainbow
I'll find my pot of gold.
At the end of the highway
there's no place else to go.
So just tell me youn love me
and you'll be mine
and the world will go on
til the end of time.
Mom-
I used to date a lady who had dated Stephen Stills just before me. I met him a few times. Got VIP treatment at a couple of Crosby, Stills, and nash concerts. I also met Sweet Baby James Taylor -- and Neil Young.. She was a real hippy space case. Used to get her dog high on hash. She would scream at the top of her lungs when we did you know what. She was too out there for me. Big on PCP.

Hmm... bit newer, but one of my oldie faves:
Seems like yesterday
But it was long ago
Janie was lovely
She was the queen of my night
There in the darkness
With teh radio playing low
And the secrets that we shared
Mountains that we moved
Caught like a wildfire out of control
Til there was nothing left to burn
And nothing left to prove
And I remember what she said to me
How she swore that it'd never end
I remember how she held me
Oh so tight
Wish I didn't know now what I did know then
Against the wind...
