.99 a song no service fee ever, and albums are $10.00 (I think)
The kicker is not all of the hits are available separately, they make you buy the whole album sometimes! For instance Eagles Hotel California, you have to buy the whole Album, cant just pay .99 for the one song!
Interesting take on sharing the music too. Not sure how they got everyone (artists, record companies, etc) to agree to this!
Interesting read if you want more info.

PS. will be available for Windows soon.

.......The truth is, you can't exactly do anything with the music you buy. For example, you can burn your downloaded music onto as many CD's as you like, but only 10 consecutive times without rearranging their playback order. It's a precaution that prevents mass production of illegal CD copies, but couldn't possibly inconvenience everyday music fans.

See.....I wouldn't pay for them and WSB is right....Napster did this long ago when they got hammered the first time. Another site that went from free to pay is MP3.com. I don't download music anyway. Can't trust to get quality rips and now you have to pay. Screw that....I'll get copies of CD's if I have to and rip them myself. All of my MP3s have come from CDs that I have personally ripped.
All of my music is sorted in folders by artist, then album, and then by track name. You can't get that by downloading unless you really have some free time on your hands.

Luke, I haven't had a problem with bad rips since I started using usenet (newsgroups). The downside is that you don't have the permanency of files like the Napster clones have, so it can be hard to find some stuff. Still the best way to try new music before you buy it, though.
