actually, there's going to be a motor in the driver's seat to work the steering wheel, and the computer controller will sit in the passenger seat. could still put some bodies in the trunk tho!

You're totally right about the themed Lego sets these days.

Specialized toys in an age of specialization. Makes sense, I guess. Lamentable, though.

It's hard to get my kids interested in the standard Lego pieces, but the kits make some cool stuff (even if you can't really be as creative with the pieces).

My sons are rapidly becoming experts at "following the directions." I think this is a good thing, but I'm not totally sure.

i was building floating lego boats as bath toys years before they made the kits with the one-piece hulls. When I went in to check the other day they had this airplane with 1-piece fuselage that folded up to get inside...I remember making one of those from all the pieces!!! poor kids these days...follow directions, take your meds and rat on others....it's like farenheit451

I used to make boats before the hulls were one piece too...I just remember the catalogs from the boxes that had them...I though it was stupid when you could do the same thing without the hull. I used to block the inside of the hull solid and it would float just fine. I remember making a huge aircraft carrier once that way...it ruled!!!

When the Fire Dept starts burning my neighbor's house down because they found a book in it....that's when I move to Switzerland.

He he he. I could never get the hulls of my boats to seal. They would fill up and sink or tip over. Did you al ever play with K'nex? It's pretty fun too.
