Its a brand new AP2 w/ only 7 miles.... Already w/ everything new... even a freakin clutch.

I got a freakin hell of a deal...I'll tell some close peeps thru PM even thy wanna know the price ...

I was going 105 when the damage happened. Threw a hole next to every cylinder except #3

It was oil pump failure, ie lack of pressure. This engine is known for it. If I had a gauge I might have possibly saved it. They say I probably lost pressure about 1 to 2 miles before it happened. Nothing I could have done... but 2.2L, 9k redline... 214 to the rear ....

I'm excited....

I've heard this about the oil pump, but you're the first person who I know who got bitten by it, J. A couple of my buds in NH who work on the car extensively think the stock oil pump is a real POS.

I think I'm going to have my preemptively replaced soon.

That's great that you got a great deal. Is it an MY06?? Do you have drive-by-wire? I imagine not, but just curious.

Of course.... but when you coming....

Chaz, Its I think an '04. It is one of the train wreck engines...but I did not get the tranny. Don't need it there's nothing wrong with mine anyway. Alot of people have had the oil pump do damage...I'd replace it anyway... I'm getting new a/c as well and alot of other new parts. I'll be fixing my exhaust finally and my BuddyClubs will be on before I roll her out.

I will have break in period again and I'm going to have to document the mileage since I'm keeping my ECU. Who wants 8k anyway
