When the engines need servicing, Caterpillar sends us their own technicians from Maryland.

JT, we trailer it every summer from the dry docks at Lake Conroe to the docks at Kemah. We pull it with our Freightliner, and every time we have to make a quick pass from Conroe to Kemah and back, before pulling the boat, to make sure their's no construction.

When pulling it, you take two lanes. We just started making the prelim drives because once, there was construction on NASA Rd 1, where all 3 lanes were funneled into 1 lane. We drove about 3 miles at 30mph, holding up traffic for miles, because we were running over each and every construction traffic pylon. They weren't those big, sand-filled trash can looking ones, but they were still damn big.

Finally, the construction workers stopped us, and escorted us through the construction zone, sending their work truck to remove each pylon to let us pass, then put it back in place behind us...

That's why you never see big yachts being transported by road. Go figure.

WSB, we have a special finish on the hull, just because the boat wasn't designed for that kind of speed.

Ironically, I've driven a truck with a 3516B in it... slightly de-rated at a meager 1900 HP.
