The "big debate" over stem cells is the "government funding" of embryo cell use. The previous administration under Clinton refused to provide any federal funding for eight years. Contrast that to the Bush administration, which agreed to provide seed funding, but said "show me results" before they could consider additional funding. Smart business. So far their are zero positive results from the use of embryo cells. The embryo cell either gets rejected or turn into a cancer. They still have unused funds and cells for testing. Throwing more money at it currently is a waste. Non-issue.

Adult stem cells is where the results are promising. Using a persons own cells eliminates the major problem of rejection. Same problem transplant patients have. Do you realize the amount of anti-rejection drugs my father has to take? His new modern miracle of a heart happens to be a best case scenario, but he still has to kill his immune system several times a day to keep it. Now his own body can't properly fight a common cold. The "we have a cure but need embryo cells to produce it" holy grail is a lie. The public sector can invest their funding anywhere they choose. Naturally they are sending their funds to where the positive results are happening; adult stem cell research.

I know if it was my sister and all legal remedys were exhausted and we were still convinced that her will was to live NOTHING would get in our way of protecting her. "NOTHING" ... by any means necessary. What can I say. I was raised to be passionate about protecting my family, friends and those who can't defend themselves. I make no apologies for that.

Ken - Since none of us were there to witness any of this stuff, i wouldn't count on that "he wouldn't let them brush her teeth" stuff as being true. Anyone can make up shit and post it.

There been several doctors who have evaluated Terry..... Now people see a little snipet of tape from 5 years ago where she blinks and then make their evaluation based on almost no information.

The whole thing is a mess. I certainly wouldn't want to live like that. The husband was on national Television this morning with his lawyer stating that there is no $ left... he said he will get zero.

Maybe he is going to sell the story later??? who knows....
