TIL that I can chat with anyone at work/customers and just play along with them telling/making things up as we go along.

TIL that when I said I can make anything up, I meant it. I was having customers say ‘Dave is the best’ instead of ‘Thank You’ and pretty much all went along with it. My managers just shook their heads and laughed.

That there is a Tomb Sweeping day on April 4 in China, and that some manufacturers close for multiple days for it. All these years of planning project stuff around Chinese New Year and I never ran into this one! But now parts are delayed due to Tomb Sweeping day.

I learned that this was a thing because you posted it. Interesting.

Not true. Honda engineers presumed that if you needed to put a tire/wheel in the trunk, that you would be using the spare tire while you transported it. So, you remove the spare and install it (or set it aside), take the tool kit/insert foam thing out of the bottom of the trunk well and place it in the area where the spare was. Then you have enough room for the flat tire/wheel to lean towards the front of the car so you can close the trunk lid.

Things You Learned Today, amirite?

Also called the "Hurst Tool" by the fire personnel who use them. Although I never associated the tool with the shifter. Thanks!
