it just sucks because i wish that when i first bough the car i wouldve realized that some of these things werent normal, like the notchy shifter, having a hard time getting into gear, the weird bogging out/jumpy tranny, like i cant really drive slow in frist gear cause the car will buck really bad i have to go immediatly into 2nd gear, in every other car ive driven ive had no problem stayin in 1st at low speeds. i always thought that it was me, now i know it was the car and not me lol! beacuse since this was my first manual car i just thought that this was normal for a manual car, now that i have the civic im like umm ok the civic doesnt do this crap!!! and after driving jacksons car many times.
i wish i wouldve realized this crap before my warrenty was up and i wish it wouldve gotten as bad as it is now sooner!!!!!

sorry. it sucks. I was going to say it sounds like it drives like a ford, but then it has a T5 in it, and while they aren't the smoothest tranny around, they are rather tough....

hmmm... I think lenny's right, there's some bearing shit going on. You might even have some gears chewed up, no way to know without opening it up. My RX7 chewed up clutch bearings in a couple thousand miles, but the noise mostly went away with the clutch in, but I had other noises in the tranny, usually 1st and reverse synchros would go, and then all of 4th, gear bearings and synchros. It was a strange beast.

I still vote for the new tranny. It's a bit more, but shit. Do it right, do it once.
I had bearing issues in my Lude and it was the same symptoms and sounds. Fortunately it was covered under warranty by Honda.
