Silver is the most popular color here among most manufacturers. Then comes black.
Look at how many silver Jettas, Civics, even on highline vehicles like Benzes. How many AMG cars do you see that aren't silver?? Not very many.
From working at a dealership, silver is always in demand. When ordering cars, some dealerships order a majority of silver cars to use as trade bait when they need a car that another dealership has. We call em DX's = Dealer Transfer.

After seeing the MC blue in person a few times I think I would prefer the blue that you have Charlie. I think it looks great. (still have that picture as my desktop )
The MC blues that I've seen IMHO looked very bland and flat and really didn't seem to bring the cars lines out as well. Once again just my opinion though.

Honestly James it does look great in that pic.
I wish I had taken a photo of the one I saw, it was at the raceday we had recently with a hard top and it did look dull, but maybe it was a little faded from too much sun. Is the MC a metallic finish?
