I had just gotten off a Lifecycle at the gym when I looked up at a TV and saw the plane crash into the second tower. It was at that instant that everyone knew it was terrorists.

 

The clock radio went off: I heard about an airplane crashing into the WTC, and I thought, "Huh, a plane hit the WTC (thinking it was a single-engine plane; something small), what kinda pilot does that?" Then I hit the snooze bar, and caught some more Zzzs.

 

I was wiring in a patch panel listening to BBC Five Live radio.

 

i slept all day then woke up to the news talking about it. i went out to get tacos and the restaurant had all these tvs and they were all playing the footage of the people jumping out of the burning buildings. i didnt want to watch it while i ate tacos, but they didnt speak english, or they just didnt want to turn it.

 

i was at college in class whent he first one hit. i went out to smoke a cig and saw the 2nd one hit they cancelled classes for the rest of the day and me and my friends went out and got stoned to try to forget WTF just happened.....alas it wasn't a dream

 

It was my first week at my new job, and I was driving to work when they reported the news over NPR.
