It's a function of the fact that our driveway was more like a giant speed bump. Basically, it was a normal driveway entrance...it flattened out into a sidewalk...and then dropped back down to the level of the parking spaces.

I evidently was carrying a wee bit more speed than I thought when I turned into the driveway.

DAMN it was loud when it bottomed out!!!!

I managed to bottom out a Peugeot 205 GTi with 5 people in it once ...... down a hill going rather quickly, with a real dip at the bottom before going up the other side .... did some serious damage to the suspension on that one

Amazingly the only damage was to the driveway... Unfortunately, that car got stolen later that year and totalled...
