Wish me luck!
Drove most the way home from Novoto yesterday so
I will try n get some
's in now
1st a lil review

SO yeah as I mentioned my 1st born
had gifted me this at Christmas, then it was so far off I figured ok plenty of time to get prepared
I had written Sonoma on the Calendar on August 10th and when I was looking ahead at the calendar I saw that,
I asked C-6 WHY did I write Sonoma on the calendar Aug 10 th ?
knowing the Indy race is no longer there.
I had TOTALY forgotten about this
well luckily the house move didn't affect our being able to go.
Fast Forward to Aug 10
he had procured an Air B&B for us to all stay at in Novato only 10 mins from the track
if you've not been to Sonoma Raceway well theres really not much around there besides GRAPES
I truly WAS nervous about the
as well never having been in a RARI sep once I sat in a 360
I HAD actually had the fun ride around the track in the Indy Car 2 Seater years back when we won those rides from our camping tickets.
Actually driving it though scared me
I did reach out to my LG @racerchick RC who I knew had driven it in her BMW she headed me up to be careful of the Off Camber
's but assured me the instructor would take me thru it.
I also took the advice of @RT who when I told him I was scared he replied " you SHOULD be " as most who do this w / no fear are the ones who have bad results
I was quite nervous day of and well you are required to go into a Class pre drive. One of the instructors goes thru a lot of info regarding the cars and the track itself, explaining the Cones & what they mean. This is helpful but he also explains that yeah IF you should get 2 wheels off the track theres a fine + any repairs needed , 4 wheels off the track a bigger fine + repairs, HIT a wall etc or other car

this has me even more
but he did recommend doing a Ride Along with one of the instructors 1st which helps you get a feel for the track etc...
a friend or anyone can go too for a fee. Well I decided to do this & let my
come along. Also noted several of the MEN doing this too.
We had the LEAD Instructor in a HELL CAT and he was
but very nice and explained stuff well.
I almost chickened out and was gonna just do a ride along in the RARI butt I didn't wanna disappoint my
even though he said he wouldn't mind
Last second I said ok put the helmet on me
I think I did indeed make a new Track Record
slowest ever around
butt I honestly don't care about that part since it was fun by the time I got to Lap 3 and then it was pull into the pit
think for a whimp like me 5 laps would have done the trick of feeling comfortable with the car itself and the
s
I would recommend this XPERIENCE to all of you since I KNOW you'd kill it

Love this track as well I have many fond memories here, 1st visit was many years ago with my BA
@S2020 as when I was down from WA we went out to watch the BA s2k's have a track event there, met @cthree that day
also the many years we attended and camped there for the Indy Race
before they moved it to Laguna Seca
