He ( the class instructor ) also mentioned that they no longer allow you to Paddle Shift as they have lost several engines due to idiots
how was that possible? one of the benefit of paddle shifters is that the computer will prevent the transmission shifting into the wrong gear.

dunno maybe he meant the transmission dunno I just remember him sayin they quit allowing them to be used

yours have paddle shifters ?

paddle shifted auto trannies do prevent improper downshifts / miss-shifts. Maybe they didn't like people running into the rev-limiter over and over again

the computer will prevent shifting into too low of gear thus preventing over-rev.
The F1 is from 2004 and it already does that. It will allow the transmission to downshift to any gear as long as the RPM stays below 9000.
Anything from 2010+ will absolutely prevent too low of gear.

I would have preferred manual but the Challenge Stradale only came in F1 paddle shifter.

funny but I now feel I would go do it again and would be way less nervous / intimidated and yeah feel a lil more comfortable ing
