Women priests
Let me mention one other thing about women in Judaism....according to strict Halachic law, a wife can file for divorce if the man witholds sex! Pleasurable sex is a right for a wife in a marriage, and it's the man's job to provide that for her.
While a woman witholding sex is bad for the relationship and frowned upon, a husband cannot ask for a divorce because of it. It is part of the man's duties as a husband to please his wife. Just trying to illustrate nonsexism and gender balance in the culture
The husband owns everything the woman owns, but he does not own her and would be a bad husband to not obey her (goes back to the internal/external differences and pros/cons).
I'm Jewish by birth and religion. When I was about 17 I blew it off to try and find my own answers, I wasn't happy with how my life was going. I studied many religions and picked and choosed what I liked best about them. Then when I went back and looked at Judaism, I saw that all the parts I liked and then some! Having come to the independent solution of my ancestral religion made it a very easy choice to return to studying it!
There's a word in Judaism for what I did, Baal Teshuva. A basic translation is master of return/repentance (Ideas in Hebrew are hard to express in English).
oy! this is turning too serious for the corner, but I'm glad that everyone here is reasonable and respectful. Threads like this have turned real nasty in OT.

However, I'm still completing university (starting my fifth year in September - my engineering program is six years) so unless that investment comes through, I'm not getting an S2000 for about five or six years.
We'll see.
